Oriel Môn holds an extensive collection of archaeological items that have been discovered on Ynys Môn. They range from Mesolithic flint arefacts, some 9,000 years old, through to Post-Medieval objects. Many are chance finds by members of the public, which include items discovered by metal detectorists.

Oriel Môn also acts as a repository for professionally manage excavations carried out on the island. Many are from sites prior to development, such as the Wylfa Newydd Nuclear Power Project and Park Cybi Industrial Park near Holyhead.

A copy of Oriel Môn's archaelogical desposition policy is available.
