After completing my training as a textile and wallpaper designer, I worked in the industry for 30 years.

I have now retired but continue to paint in watercolour and gouache in my studio on Anglesey.

Whenever I go for a walk I fill my pockets with bits of plants, shells, pebbles, anything I find interesting to study at home and then incorporate into my pictures.

I rarely use photographs for reference preferring to spend time observing the appearance and behaviour of the birds I paint.

My work is a simple celebration of my deep love of nature and I hope the pictures express the pleasure I feel when each season brings its special treasures to enjoy.
