Join us at Oriel Môn’s Autumn Festival for a joyful celebration of heritage crafts and skills, nature, archaeology and art! This fun-filled day offers something for everyone, with hands-on activities, inspiring demonstrations and fascinating displays to explore. Fun for all the family and FREE.
Discover traditional textile techniques through demonstrations and have a go at some heritage craft skills yourself. If you enjoy working with natural materials, take part in creative weaving activities.
Music and nature lovers are in for a treat too, with opportunities to enjoy outdoor wellbeing sessions, musical workshops inspired by local traditions, and guided activities exploring foraging, natural remedies and connections with the natural world. There will also be plenty to discover about local wildlife, habitats and conservation, with interactive activities, arts and crafts, and opportunities to learn more about protecting and caring for the environment.
Explore a range of environmental and community initiatives through engaging displays, hands-on activities and family-friendly games. Discover creative projects that connect people, place and landscape through art and storytelling.
Step back in time with archaeological activities, including the chance to create an Iron Age brooch and learn about the herbs and spices used on Môn during the medieval period. Find out which plants were used to flavour food and which had additional medicinal and practical purposes.
With so many creative, educational and hands-on experiences to try, the Autumn Festival at Oriel Môn promises a lively and memorable day for visitors of all ages. Come along, get involved, and celebrate autumn with us!
There will be plenty to see, do and discover at Oriel Môn’s Autumn Festival, with a fantastic range of local makers, community groups and organisations joining us throughout the day. Get hands-on with traditional crafts, woodland skills and natural making, from Marram weaving with Anglesey Outdoor Learning and willow weaving with Wispy Willow, to green woodworking with Ynys Twca and natural balms and ointments with Maeth Natur. Have a go at creating hand-printed bags and flags with Canvas and Cloth, explore spinning, weaving and dyeing, or discover prehistoric skills, technologies and daily life with Ancient Craft’s immersive Stone and Bronze Age living history. Visitors can also enjoy Forest Yoga with Gudrun Rieck, learn more about Anglesey’s wildlife, woodlands and coastal waters with Menter Môn, the Red Squirrels Trust Wales, Coed Lleol, Seawatch Foundation and the Local Nature Partnership, and celebrate 60 years of Anglesey’s Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty designation. With Heneb, GeoMôn, Llyn Parc Mawr Community Woodland Group and many more taking part, there will be something for everyone to enjoy, learn about and get involved with.
